Omens Studios' "Counting with Paula" Debuts on the okto Channel

SINGAPORE, Oct 11, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - "Counting with Paula" is a 60 x 11' CG animated created and produced in HD1080 for 3 to 6 year olds by award-winning animation studio Omens Studios in partnership with the Singapore national broadcast network MediaCorp TV.

Based on the Singapore Ministry of Education's public education curriculum on pre-school Math ("Singapore Math"), and developed in consultation with one of Singapore's foremost authorities on Mathematics Education, Professor Berinderjeet Kaur, the show makes learning about numbers, counting and shapes, fun, easy and entertaining.

Drawing from critical skillsets such as letter and numerical literacy, spatial and color awareness, comprehension and social-emotional skills, the curriculum is designed to introduce and develop emergent numerical and comprehension skills in children aged 3 to 6 years old.

"We wanted to break through stereotypes and create a program for kids that make learning about simple Math concepts and life skills fun and accessible," explained Tang Chi Sim, Executive Producer of the series, adding "Working with the okto Channel at MediaCorp TV, we were able to create compelling characters and content that makes the show really fun and engaging for pre-schoolers and their parents."

The show successfully debut in September 2014 on the okto Channel.

The 60 x 11' CG animated series is also available for sale immediately to regions outside Asia, and is participating as part of the Singapore delegation to MIPCOM 2014 with a presence at the Singapore Pavilion.

Synopsis

Join Paula and her friends, Tim, Billy, Chalkie, Calc and the Numbers as they go on exciting adventures in colorful and exotic places.
